Five things international NGOs are blamed for

The Secretary General of CIVICUS ask a question “Are INGOs guilty of hogging resources, poaching local staff and being brand-obsessed?”

Those five things:

  1. Hogging resources.
  2. Paying lip service to local partnerships
  3. Poaching staff.
  4. Being brand-obsessed.
  5. Failing to do themselves out of a job.

I think they’re all true in current context in Vietnam too.
